Passed standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognised Board with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes)
Students who wish to opt for Honours with Research must earn a 7.5 CGPA and above at the end of Semester 6.
The Eligibility Criteria for Multiple entries are as per the University's Lateral Entry Rules for FYUG Programmes.

Meaning of ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ Candidates for admission to UG programmes:
UG programmes: ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ means persons, who are domiciled in Nagpur for a period of 5 (five) years as on the date of commencement of the academic year, and who have passed or will be appearing for the qualifying examination of Class XII (or equivalent examination) conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/ ICSE Board before admission to the programme.
For reservation in admission to the students under Nagpur Domicile category; there are two types of criteria:
I) Residence Criterion at Nagpur Urban (five continuous or intermittent years)
Students who are considered eligible to avail the reservation in admission are those who are residents of the locality for at least 05 years falling under the Nagpur Urban i.e., under Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). Hence, it is essential to ensure that the applicant resides in the jurisdiction of NMC.
The candidate working /studying at a place under NMC but residing outside the locality under NMC is not considered for the said reservation.
The five years of stay at a locality under Nagpur Urban i.e. under NMC can be continuous or even intermittent; in both cases candidates will be considered as eligible.
The candidate will submit Age, Nationality and Domicile Certificate within the jurisdiction of Nagpur City (Urban) issued by the Competent Authority.
The certificate should mention the residence of the candidate in (Nagpur Municipal Corporation), Tehsil Nagpur (Urban), District Nagpur in the state of ‘MAHARASHTRA’ for a period of five years.
II) Educational Criterion
A. Criterion:
The candidates who are recipients of school certificates from any Maharashtra state board of secondary and higher secondary education and/or recipient of CBSE or ICSE board.
(It means the aspirants with 10th standard and 12th Standard from other State Boards (Maharashtra State Board is considered)/ Open Schooling and International Boards will not be considered under Nagpur Domicile Category).
B. The Educational document required in proof:
School certificates from the Maharashtra State board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and / or The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/ ICSE Board.
This reservation for all programmes is qualified as follows:
In the event that any of the Nagpur Domicile Seats reserved pursuant to this sub- clause (ii) remain vacant such vacant seats shall be filled in the following manner:
If the seats reserved for SC category of the 'Nagpur Domiciled' candidates remain vacant after exhausting wait list of SC category of the 'Nagpur Domiciled' candidates, such vacant seats shall be offered to SC category of Non- Nagpur Domiciled candidates in the wait list.
If such seats still remain vacant, they shall be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are 'Nagpur Domiciled'.
If such seats even then remain vacant, they shall finally be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are 'Non- Nagpur Domiciled'.
If the seats reserved for ST category of the 'Nagpur Domiciled' candidates remain vacant after exhausting wait list of ST category of the 'Nagpur Domiciled' candidates, such vacant seats shall be offered to ST category of Non- Nagpur Domiciled candidates in the wait list.
If such seats still remain vacant, they shall be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are 'Nagpur Domiciled'.
If such seats even then remain vacant, they shall finally be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are 'Non- Nagpur Domiciled'.
If the seats reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates remain vacant after exhausting wait list of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates, such vacant seats shall be offered to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category of Non- Nagpur Domiciled candidates in the wait list.
If such seats still remain vacant, they shall be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are 'Nagpur Domiciled'.
If such seats even then remain vacant, they shall finally be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are 'Non- Nagpur Domiciled'.
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidate means a candidate having any of the disabilities in accordance with the Persons with Disabilities Act – 1995 and as per revised Gazette of India Registered no: DL – (N)04/0007/2003-16 dated December 28, 2016. The candidate will have to get the disability authenticated from Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC). The admission may be considered as regularized only after due authentication by SCHC.
SIU will provide a concession of 15% (Fifteen percent) on the Academic fees payable by the candidates referred to in paragraph A above. However, when the seats reserved for 'Nagpur Domiciled' candidates remain vacant; and are offered to 'Non-Nagpur Domiciled' candidates, such candidates shall NOT be entitled to the fee concession, being offered to the 'Nagpur Domiciled' candidates.
Definition of ‘Fees’ for the purpose of calculating the fee concession for ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates.
As per the Lease agreement with Nagpur Municipal Corporation, ‘Fee’ means the gross fees for admission, examinations, tuition and such other matters that may be levied on and payable by a user of the Project (student) from time to time in accordance with applicable law and the norms laid down by the University Grants Commission, and shall exclude payments which are in the nature of fines and penalties, and/or which are due in respect of accommodation, mess/catering, caution money (if refundable), entrance tests or application forms.
